I am a senior broadcast news major at Kent State Univerimg_2765sity. As an active student in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication, I worked at Kent State University’s Award-Winning Television Station, TV2, as an anchor, floor director, reporter and producer. I will graduate May 2017 with a bachelor of science degree in broadcast news with a minor in public communication. After graduation, my goal is to be a producer.

In summer 2015 and 2016, I interned at WDTN-TV in Dayton, Ohio. I built rundowns for the five o’clock newscasts with producers. I assisted with my reporter’s live shots, b-roll and interviews. I pitched story ideas every morning meeting. From the hands-on learning experience, I improved my skills as a journalist.

After hitting the ground running with TV2, I joined Tri Sigma sorority, Orthodox Christian Fellowship and Olson Hall Council. All of this was just in my freshman year. During my junior year, I became the Vice President of Operations in Tri Sigma. My senior year started off with raising money for my sororities two philanthropic partners, The March of Dimes and Sigma Serves Children. I was the chair of my sorority’s philanthropy event. I dedicated my time and talents to this position. Recently, my sorority and I raised over $22,000 for our philanthropic partners.

In my free time, I love to sing and Greek dance, and spend time with my friends.
